Evaluation

Grading System will be followed for the students of Classes I, II, III, IV, V.

A* Outstanding (90%-100%)
A Excellent (75%-89%)
B Very Good (56%-74%)
C Good (35%-55%)
D Scope for Improvement (Below 35%)

Marks of Unit Tests will also be considered for evaluation of results.

SCHEME OF EXAMINATION
  • CLASS I-II: 6 Unit Tests (weekly) {3 Unit Tests in each term}
  • CLASS III-V: 2 Evaluation Tests and 4 Unit Tests (Weekly){2 Unit Tests in each term}

Evaluation System in Classes VI,VII & VIII

The assessment structure and examination comprises of two terms i.e. Term-1 and 2 as explained below:

  • Periodic Test 10 marks with syllabus covered till announcement of test dates by school

  • Sub Enrichment 5 marks at term-end
Yearly Exam
Written exam for 80 marks with syllabus coverage as below:

Class VI : 10% of 1st term covering significant topics + entire syllabus of 2nd term

Class VII : 20% of 1st term covering significant topics + entire syllabus of 2nd term

Class VIII : 30% of 1st term covering significant topics + entire syllabus of 2nd term

  • Evaluation of the performance of a student will be on the basis of periodic Tests, Notebook submission, Subject Enrichment Activity and the Final Examination.
  • Periodic Tests will include : Pre-Mid-Term Test, Mid-Term Test, Post-Mid-Term Test.

  • Evaluation of the performance of a student will be on the basis of periodic Tests, Notebook submission, Subject Enrichment Activity and the Final Examination.
  • Periodic Tests will include : Pre-Mid-Term Test, Mid-Term Test, Post-Mid-Term Test.

  • Student has to score minimum 33% marks out of 80 marks in each subject in Final
  • 33% marks out of overall 20 marks in Periodic Tests , Notebook submission and subject enrichment Activity, in each subject.

Class X: Final Examination of 80 marks in each subject will be conducted by C.B.S.E. in 2018

Note:The Mid-Term and Final Term Examination will be of 100 marks each. However, the theory and practical exams will be conducted in the required subject as per the rules and regulations of C.B.S.E.

Promotion criteria for class XI:

The Final Evaluation will be based on the following criteria:

  • 40% marks in each subject will make a pupil eligible for promotion.
  • A student will not be allowed to continue in the school if he/she repeats the same class for two consecutive years.
  • There will be no re-examination for Term Tests, Medical Leave will only be granted if supported with proper medical certificate by the doctor.
  • No student in the school shall be eligible to take the examination unless he/she has completed 75% of attendance.
  • The student caught using unfair means during the examination would be debarred from the examination.

Class XII :

Periodical Tests will be conducted as per the following schedule

Unit Test I July,2017 20 marks
Mid-Term September, 2017 100 marks
Unit Test II November, 2017 20 Marks
Pre-Board Examination:
Pre-Board(I) December, 2017 100 Marks
Pre-Board(II) January,2018 100 Marks

Final Examination will be conducted by C.B.S.E. in March,2018.

The Theory and Practical Exams will be as per rules and regulations of C.B.S.E. in the required subject.
